Lacrosse Team Drops Season Opener

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team opened its 2007 season with a 15-4 loss at Sports Stadium to Gannon University.

The Huskies, under first year coach Leah Quigley, got two goals each from Meg Taylor (West Chester/West Chester) and Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove), but it was not enough to overcome five goals by the Lady Knights Melissa Hill.

Bloomsburg, 0-1, will be off till March 21st when it travels to Slippery Rock.
